some real life stories from previous clients
I decided to find a coach to help me with some issues I had at work. I felt it was time to move on. As we started coaching, and considering other types of jobs, it emerged that my confidence and self-belief were not in as good shape as I thought they were.
We did a lot of confidence-building work and I started to see things differently. I became much more positive and it affected my current work and all areas of my life.
I ended up with not only the confidence to move on, when I want to, but also the ability to stay where I am for as long as I need to, because my relationships at work are so much better.
Coaching made a bigger difference to my life than I could ever have imagined it would.
I'd been working in the same area for years and had achieved a lot of what I set out to do.
I needed a new focus, perhaps outside of work, but I needed to talk it all through with someone from outside of my life for an objective look at what I might do.
My life was feeling unbalanced. I was achieving a lot at work, but there didn't seem to be much else. I talked to friends and family, but they couldn't see how I could change anything, with my work commitments.
When I had coaching I was able to see things from a new perspective and, with the help of my coach, was able to think up lots of new ways of organising my life to make room for new interests.
After being at home with my daughter for a couple of years, I didn't have the confidence to go back to work in the same field. I wanted a change of direction, which matched up with new priorities.
When I was faced with going back to work after maternity leave, I realised I just didn't think about it in the same way anymore. I knew I had some good skills, but needed to use them in a different way, according to my new priorities.
Coaching helped me to find a new direction which balanced different parts of my life, but still gave me a challenge.
I was always feeling overloaded. I just couldn't see how to find time to do anything other than work and look after my family.
However hard I tried, my days just got more and more full. I had no sense of ever completing anything, or doing anything properly. I got my coach to help me re-evaluate what my priorities are, and to help me stay focussed on only doing what is the most important thing at any one time. Somehow, I ended up feeling I had more time, and much more energy for myself and everyone around me. Coaching has made such a difference to my life and has given me skills I can keep using.
With family to look after, and work, I found that when I had any spare time to think about my business idea, I was too tired and not really motivated.
I became so frustrated I looked for a coach to get me out of my rut. Coaching helped me to organise my time differently so I had the energy to follow up my business idea in small, manageable steps. I learnt what motivated me and used this information to keep me on track.
